Register at either SCDl location to participate in Battle of the Books! Registration is open until February 3rd for 4th & 5th graders.

The battle of the books is a trivia competition that tests your book knowledge. Teams of up to 4 participants (plus one adult or teen leader) will read the four selected battle books.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

A fun and easy program designed to help children develop early literacy skills. The goal is to read 1,000 books with your child before they start kindergarten, building language, cognitive, and emotional skills along the way.

Parents and caregivers can track their progress with the help of our library's resources and rewards. The program encourages a love of reading and strengthens the bond between adults and children, while also promoting future academic success.
